July 13 2008 Word

I want to get real with everyone today. I hope that as you read this blog that you understand that I am being as honest and as real as I can. I am simply a sinner saved by grace. I screw up everyday. I do not fly around on a cloud all day. I have the same struggles and life issues as everyone else. This blog is for us to be real with each other. I do not want us judging each other, i want us to be able to share with each other and help each other. I get tempted by the same things you do. I have to deal with the same things in life as you do. When we accept Jesus as our savior, it should not make us act as if we are "holier than thou", we should just simply be thankful for Jesus going to the cross for us all.
If you have been living for God and have screwed up, get back up, don't stay down. Jesus died for all of our sins just not a few of them. We have to remember we are going to mess up and at times we are going to mess up big. Please know that there is forgiveness in Jesus and all we have to do is repent and get back up.
Please don't let a life mistake keep you down. I know many who have messed up and have been down for years. They were forgiven but they cannot forgive themselves. If God can forgive you, then you should have no problem forgiving yourself.
All sins are the same except one, so do not think that your sin is any worse or less than anyone else. Ask for forgiveness and get back up and go on. The enemy tries to make us think that we have to repent for years or we are not forgiven and that is a lie.
Forgive yourself and live life full of joy and peace. You are forgiven today if you come to Jesus and ask for it.
This word is simply to let you know that you are going to screw up and at times big. We are real people dealing with real issues. Living for Jesus is not a fairytale life. Although we are saved, we are going to stumble and fall. It is up to us how soon we get back up.
