May 5 2008 Word
I hope everyone had a great weekend and you are now prepared for the work week. I want to remind everyone to do the prayer journal listed under the category tools. This will strengthen your prayer life because it gets you in a habit of looking at it, adding to it daily.
I want this site to be useful and truthful to you as a reader. I want you to know that the person commenting on this site daily is a human being and I have made as many if not more mistakes as you have but I thank God that He had mercy and grace upon me to bring me back into His will. It is never too late to come back to God. You can come back to God in any shape that you may be in. He loves us all and wants us to live for Him. This Life with God is not a hard life, He actually states in the bible that His burden is light and I love the sound of that.
This means that you cannot live as the world does but I have been there and done that and it's only fun for a while. There is so much peace and rest with God, there is no condemnation and that is so wonderful, to know that when we come to the Lord that we will have rest and our sins are as white as snow.
If you were to die today, would you go to heaven? If you were to die today, would you go to hell? I hope and pray with all that is in me that you can honestly say that you would go to heaven. There are only two choices and that is it. I pray that if you cannot answer the question that you examine your heart and talk to God and ask Him to save you through the blood of Jesus Christ.
If you need to talk about this, I am always available, email me bruce.sizemore@gmail.com

Last night as I was reading a passage of scripture, I Tim. 4:12-16, the Lord just began to impact my heart with the importance of this word. Paul told Timothy to "...give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all...." I went back to read again what he was to give himself to. Them is speaking of the gift imparted to him through prophecy by the laying of of the hands of the eldership. The Lord just began to speak to my heart about the call on my life and the words just leaped out at me to "give yourself entirely to this!" He has been speaking to me for some time now about focus. He will draw my attention to this word over and over, so I know it is extremely important to keep my focus on Him and not get distracted with anything else, including ministry. We are all called by the Lord to some kind of ministry, and we need to know what that is and go after it, but we do that by going after Him and to know the Word. He has said to me before, "You need to know the Lord of the Word, and not just the Word of the Lord." We need to know Him in a very personal way, be able to hear his voice and then obey. We have entered another new season, a Kairos season spiritually, and are living in the very end-times. Jesus said, "Many are called, but few are chosen." I didn't understand what He meant by that for a long time, and I asked Him why some are not chosen. He spoke to my heart that He calls many, but they choose not to follow their call. Yesterday I heard a message at church and again the word was to know what our MAIN call is, and concentrate on that and prepare ourselves to walk in that call. Jesus spent 33 years in preparation for what He was called to do while here on earth, but His ministry was only three years. He sets the example for us all. He spent time with His Heavenly Father to know and understand daily what He was to do and say. We are in a day where we need to know our place, what we are called to do, and choose to position ourselves to hear and receive from Him that we can answer the call. Paul told Timothy in vs. 13, "Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine." I felt the Lord say to me, "Until I come, give attention to reading the word, to exhortation and to doctrine (truth). Those He calls, He always equips! PTL!
