An article came out today in the Lexington Herald in the Faith and Values section stating Kentuckians are willing spirits. Report finds beliefs strong, Church attendance high. Camille Weber of the Lexington Herald stated in the report that " Kentuckians appeared more religious than Americans as a whole in most categories.
The survey covered belief in God, importance of religion in my life, how often i attend, how often I pray, etc.
This was very pleasing to me to hear this but alarmed me about the nation as a whole. The article also stated that other states such as West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas scored higher as well than America as a whole.
Does this tell our nation anything? Yes it does, it tells us that the rural areas still left are holding on to God and not allowing the world  to take their beliefs away. It should not matter if we live in the city or in the middle of nowhere, if our beliefs are strong, then we should stay with them and not allow the world to drown them out.
My prayer today is that we will all get back to our grass roots and seek God. Seek a life that will give you more joy and peace than you have ever had. God needs you. He has placed gifts inside of you that He has no one else. Use that gift for God and be blessed.

HAPPY FORTH OF JULY!!!!
As I sit this morning with my six year old son, i asked him to say the Lord's prayer with me as I do every morning on the way to work. Since I am off work today, I wanted him to share in saying it with me. To my surprise he agreed and knew the prayer. His mother home schools him and she does an incredible job. She just does not teach him the subjects he is required but she teaches him bible and he loves to memorize bible verses.
I work a lot and do not get to reap the rewards from his outstanding teachings.
I use to be concerned about him being home schooled but we prayed about it as a family and God lead us in that direction. He has more interaction with children than I ever imagined. My wife takes extra care to make sure he is developing his social interaction skills and experiencing the world in a way that God would want us to.
Nothing wrong with our children going to public school but I like knowing that I am in control of what my child sees and is involved in and who he hangs out with.
So I want to thank my wife for her hard work and dedication in teaching and developing our child into the man he will soon one day be, you truly have the toughest job I could ever work at.
We had the chance last night to go out with our wonderful neighbors and their children to see the local city fireworks. As we scrambled for a parking place, we went up to the top of a hill and found an incredible, grassy area surrounded by trees without many people there. As I sat there God began to speak to my spirit telling me to look around and look at the scenery that He had made for me and everyone else. I sat there and just soaked up the environment and felt so much peace. As the fireworks began I thought about the last several years and the incidents that this country has had to go through, the world trade center, the tornadoes, the floods, hurricanes, etc. I also thought again about our troops around the world and was so proud to be an American. My heart throbbed for those that have lost life and the families that have been left to deal with the loss. At that time God spoke to my spirit and told me He is there to comfort everyone that is suffering, depressed, burdened by life's struggles and disappointments. He can give us so much peace and joy if we just seek Him.
I pray today for our armed forces around the world, I pray for those that have lost love ones, I pray for those that have lost so much due to floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes. I pray blessings upon each of you and you are loved.

With tomorrow being the forth of July, I always like to think about the men and women of this great country that have shed blood to defend it and keep it free. I am so thankful for those that go everyday to put their lives on the line for our freedom. It upsets me to see those that protest war and make comments about this wonderful nation we live in. I am sure those that protest war and this nation probably need to be put on the front lines to see what our armed forces are keeping from coming to this nation. War is something that has happened since the beginning and will never go away. We live in the most free country in the world and this is all due to the foundation that this country was founded and our wonderful men and women in the armed forces.
Our country was founded on the belief of God and freedom. Those that do not believe in either have started causing issues for this country and if we are not careful we could end up without the freedom we have always had.
God has blessed this nation because of the faithful and those that still believe "in God we trust" however those that have no belief and do not care about the freedom of this country are coming against it in a mighty way.
We must keep our foundation and stand firm upon it.
I am so thankful to live in a country where I am able to live free and worship God in freedom.
Thank you men and women of the armed forces for putting your necks on the line for us everyday. I pray blessings and safety upon your lives in the name of Jesus Christ.

Does using curse words affect us? This is a question that I have been asked before and up until now have not addressed it. I use to be terrible about using curse words and speaking them so frequently that they began to be just regular words. Well the truth of the matter is nobody wants to hear them and they are not good to say.
Using these words cause issues. It makes the hair stand up on my neck to be out with my family and hear someone next to us telling a story and just because they are telling a story they have to use  four letter words for emphasis. You can talk without using these words. They are rude and influence others to use them. I am raising my child to not have to hear them and it can all be ruined by someone having no respect for the people around them and just speaking them.
In the bible it states that the words we speak are life and death. I know others that have said "that just makes me sick" you know what happened to them, they became sick. We have power in our mouth. The words we speak can being us abundant life or a life of sorrow and death. The devil knows if he can get us to speak these foul words and be comfortable saying them all the time, then we won't care to do other things as well and he can blind side us.
I pray that we will all watch our words and be courteous to others when out in public and around others. I know if I can stop cursing and not use them, that anyone can.

Well we are into the middle of the year already. It seems like the years just fly by. As I posted yesterday concerning the book I am reading "23 minutes in hell" I cannot emphasize enough how great and how revealing this book is. It has truly been a life changing book.
Bill in the book explains how terrible hell really is and that it is a real place. We simply think that because we cannot see God, Heaven, or hell, that they do not exist. If you read close in the bible that is why the word faith is shown so much. God wants those that seek after the truth and believe in Him. God is all around us and the world has polluted our minds to make us think if we don't see it, then we should not believe it. Hell was created for the devil and his demons not God's children. However because of disbelief, they are going as well.
I like Bill in the book have an urgency to tell everyone to be ready. We must live every day as if it was the last. Please take a moment and evaluate your life. We are all going to die, it is just when your number is pulled. I am not telling you this to scare you, I am telling you this to prepare you. We all are going to die and when we die we have made a choice here on earth of where we will go when we leave this world. It is either Heaven or Hell. The choice is up to you. Living for God is not some fanatic way of life. It is life and you love people and live life full of peace and joy. You thank God daily and give praise and thank Jesus for going to the cross for you.
Without Jesus there is no hope and no future in Heaven. Please evaluate your life and make a choice of where you want to go.
I pray that all of you choose Heaven, hell is going to be a place where you are tormented every minute and you will want to die and can't. God can take away all of this and give you a life you have been looking for and fill those voids in your life that you have been searching for.

6-2-2008 I was in my yard with my camera around my neck when I looked in front of me I saw a storm heading toward me I then began to think about how he was in the storms so I said Lord if you are still in the storms reveal yourself in this storm so I took 3 pictures did not see anything till I put it on my computer when the picture came in focus I saw a picture of Jesus it  was a figure of a mans head which to me looks like the image that we see on earth of JESUS.

A young man, a student in one of our universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students' friend, from his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.  As they went along, they saw lying in the path a pair of old shoes, which they supposed to belong to a poor man who was employed in a field close by, and who had nearly finished his day's work. 
The student turned to the professor, saying: "Let us play the man a trick: we will hide his shoes, and conceal ourselves behind those bushes, and wait to see his perplexity when he cannot find them."  
"My young friend," answered the professor, "we should never amuse ourselves at the expense of the poor. But you are rich, and may give yourself a much greater pleasure by means of the poor man.  Put a coin into each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch how the discovery affects him." 
The student did so, and they both placed themselves behind the bushes close by.  The poor man soon finished his work, and came across the field to the path where he had left his coat and shoes.  While putting on his coat he slipped his foot into one of his shoes; but feeling something hard, he stooped down to feel what it was, and found the coin.  Astonishment and wonder were seen upon his countenance.  He gazed upon the coin, turned it round, and looked at it again and again.  He then looked around him on all sides, but no person was to be seen.  He now put the money into his pocket, and proceeded to put on the other shoe; but his surprise was doubled on finding the other coin.  His feelings overcame him; he fell upon his knees, looked up to heaven and uttered aloud a fervent thanksgiving, in which he spoke of his wife, sick and helpless, and his children without bread, whom the timely bounty, from some unknown hand, would save from perishing. 
The student stood there deeply affected, and his eyes filled with tears. "Now," said the professor, "are you not much better pleased than if you had played your intended trick?"   
The youth replied, "You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget. I feel now the truth of those words, which I never understood before: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

To be a blogger I am not much of a reader. However if I find a book that sparks my interests, I will not put it down. Well I have found another book that I cannot put down. Bill Wiese has published a book called 23 minuted in hell. This book ran chills over my spin. His graphic detail of hell is incredible. I am a skeptic when it comes to these type of things but he had scripture to back up everything he was telling us in this book. I was able to get half way through the book and did not want to put it down but became too sleepy. I hope to finish it tonight.
If you have ever had questions about life after death, this book will show you the bad part of dying. Hell is a place that you are tormented for eternity, Bill explained that he wanted to die and could not. The beasts in his cell tormented and tortured his body and he could not do anything about it.
Please take time and visit his site and pick this book up. It has changed my whole view on hell and I did not ever want to go there but now i am afraid for those that do not know Jesus and having to go there.
Please take time to evaluate your spiritual life today and make a decision to follow Jesus and stay away from hell.

Etta went to be with the Lord last night after 8:00PM. Her and her daughter both have went on from this accident. Her husband is still in Intensive care with a broken back and ribs. He did get to see her before they took her off life support last night. I appreciate all the prayers and comments on this issue.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT...

 HOMOSEXUALITY?

I have again this weekend had many comments concerning our discussion on Homosexuality and I want to give more detail as to what the bible says about this lifestyle. I want to address every topic that we deal with in this present world and offer a Biblical outlook on each of them. This is not to offend but to teach and give truth.
We realize that this subject can be a very difficult one to address. Furthermore, as hate crimes specifically committed against homosexuals occur, many feel that this issue shouldn't be addressed at all for fear of only adding to the hostile environment that many homosexuals face. Despite the cultural climate in which we live, this issue must be addressed according to the Word of God. God's laws are always for our good, although man may see them as restricting. In the end, only obedience to the Word of God can bring true freedom. We address this issue out of God's love for the homosexual to bless and help him.

Much of our society has embraced many perverted sexual practices that are considered in the Bible as abominations to God. Homosexuality is among the list of deviate or abnormal sexual practices however, there are many other practices that can be included as well. Pornography, pedophilia, prostitution, bestiality, oral sex, phone sex and computer virtual reality sex, just to name a few of them.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NIV): "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

Although the Bible doesn't detail each and every one of these sinful acts, it does clearly speak out about many of them. Any deviation from God's original plan for sex between a married man and woman is still a sin in God's eyes. The main reason we call these things perverted is because they are unnatural and scripture clearly tells us those who do such things are committing abominations.Leviticus 18:22 (KJV): "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind it is abomination."

Homosexuality is also referred to as the sin of sodomy. This reference comes from an account in the Bible of two exceedingly wicked cities, Sodom and Gomorrah, which the Lord destroyed. Sodom was known for its rampant homosexuality and unrestrained sexual lust, as well as other sins such as arrogance, haughtiness, and disregard for the poor. When the Lord sent angels to warn Lot who lived in the city that it was about to be destroyed, the men of the city actually wanted to rape the angels! Genesis 13:13: "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly."

In the Old Testament the penalty for this sin was severe. Leviticus 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Today the penalty of death comes in the form of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. It also brings death to  the soul and spirit of man because the life of God is pushed out by indulging in something that is an abomination to God.  God wants to deliver all who are trapped in this unholy practice and He will if anyone calls out to Him with a sincere heart.

We certainly acknowledge that AIDS has broken out of the homosexual community, and now, many innocent people are suffering with this disease through no fault of their own.  However, the intent of the above statement is not directed to those who have innocently contracted this disease, but rather to the sinners who are spreading it.  A comparison could be made to those who smoke. Smokers are opening themselves up for lung cancer; however, the people who are subjected to breathing the smoke second-hand are also subject to this disease.  The person who willfully smokes is guilty of destroying their own bodies, but should those who are forced to live in the environment of the smoke, get lung cancer, they are not guilty of this sin.  When we teach that smoking causes lung cancer, we are not judging or condemning those who innocently get lung cancer from breathing second-hand smoke. It is simply a true fact that smoking can cause lung cancer.

 

 

The same is true of AIDS.  A homosexual life style increases the risk of that person contracting AIDS. There is no condemnation or judgment against those who innocently contract this disease through no fault of their own (for instance, through blood transfusions.)  However, since AIDS is most prevalent in the homosexual community, we need to warn people of the dangers of  homosexuality, so that AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases are not spread to the rest of society, as now, many heterosexuals have contracted these diseases too, through unfaithful partners.

 Romans 1:24-32:

 

 

 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

These scriptures clearly state that these vile affections of men lusting for other men (gay men) or women lusting for other women (lesbians) are not the natural affections God created men and women to have for one another. Let me say here that God loves all homosexuals! However, He hates the deeds of homosexuality because they are sinful. God did not create any human being as a homosexual. They are not born that way, just as murderers are not born that way. However, these spirits can be transmitted to children, especially if someone who had this demonic spirit seduced or raped a child--or even if they were close to gay people. These demons can also be imparted to others through unholy sexual acts.

People become homosexuals because they yield to abnormal acts or lust. It is through some source that they have received a demonic spirit that drives them to their lust. Viewing evil videos or pornographic books is a way of opening the door for Satan to give one an evil, perverse spirit. Though people are not born as homosexuals, the Bible does say all human beings are born with a sin nature. If we yield to the evils of our flesh it will lead to our destruction not only in this life, but in the life to come. However, through faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross we can break the hold that sin has upon us. We do not have to yield to the old fleshy nature but we can now overcome evil temptations and live our lives controlled by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Sex is God's idea and its purpose is not only for procreation, but also for recreation and the development of a deep relationship between man and woman. Nothing is wrong or dirty about sex when it is engaged in the bonds of marriage as the Lord commanded in the Bible. However, when perversions are committed inside the marriage relationship, this can be sinful also. God made man and woman and brought them together "face to face." Oral sex is of homosexual origin that replaces the normal "face to face" relationship God intended in a marriage. The Bible describes the sex act in Song of Solomon Chapter 4. In this chapter it speaks of this "face to face" relationship by describing looking into his lover's eyes and kissing his lover's lips and fondling his lover's breasts. Oral sex is not normal or natural as it is an unclean act.

No one has to live in bondage with an abnormal life of homosexuality nor any other abnormal behavior. No one has to be controlled by pornography. No one has to have evil thoughts plague their minds. There is a way out through what Jesus has done for us. He loves sinners and wants to free us from any evil practices. He will empower those who cry out for deliverance to get free and stay free. Here are the steps you must take to get free:

(1.) Make a total commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Be willing to turn your life completely over to the will of God and yield to His plan for your life. This means you must be willing to do anything, go anywhere and give up any thing as He leads. Remember, God will never lead you to do anything that is not in agreement with the Bible. You can trust God. He created you and has a better plan for your life.

(2.) Your must pray and read your Bible daily. You must study and apply the Word of God to overcome Satan's attacks. The way that you resist the attacks of the devil is by quoting the Word of God to him. When the devil came to tempt Jesus, He simply quoted the Word to him. Good praise tapes will also be of a great help when you are tempted. Put one on and start singing along with it.

(3.) You must pray for and seek out a strong Bible believing group of Holy Spirit filled people. You will need their help and fellowship. As you humble yourself and seek help, the Lord will deliver you. Ask God to lead you to someone that can pray the prayer of deliverance for you, as you probably will need to be set free from a demon. You should also seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit as you will need His power to get free and to remain free.

(4.) You must cut off all sources and relationships that would lead you back into sin. The Bible tells us to flee fornication (sexual sins). You must get out of any corrupt entanglements, or areas that you know will be a temptation to you. If you have been hooked on internet pornography subscribe to an Internet Service Provider that will filter out the pornography for you. Destroy all evil books and videos.

(5.) Should you slip or fall back occasionally, repent and get right back up and go on with God. Do not allow the devil to condemn you once you have repented. Put your sin under the blood of Jesus. He will strengthen you and you will win this battle because of the Lord's promise to you. Remember, He loves you and is there to help you. Run to Him when you get in trouble, never run from Him. He will not ever give up on you! We too, will be standing with you for your total healing and deliverance. Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

(6.) You must forgive everyone that has ever hurt you. You can only do this through the power of God. You must by a simple act of your will voice the forgiveness and then the Lord will give you the feeling of forgiveness. This may be a while in coming but just keep forgiving when you think of any wrong that has been done to you. The Lord will give you His love for those people who have wronged you.

PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE

Finally we want to pray for you right now if you need it:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you in the mighty name of Jesus and we ask that you touch this one right now, first of all with your love and forgiveness. Lord, wash their sins away. Wash away all the uncleanness and guilt. Lord we ask you to free them right now from the powers of darkness.

Now, we speak to Satan and his demons and we command them to leave in the name of Jesus! Satan, this one is no longer under your power. The blood of Jesus has set them free! We resist you and you must flee! This one belongs to God and you have no more authority over them! Be gone!

Dear Lord, thank you that you have set this one free and we are believing that you will lead them to the right people that will help them to walk out this deliverance. We break every chain of iniquity over their life and cancel every evil word that has been spoken against them. We declare they will walk in your victory and that you will enable them to do it. I have another friend that her daughter is in the hospital with lung issues. Her name is Kristen and she is thirteen years old and such a wonderful young girl. Please pray that God will restore her breathing to normal and they can take her off of the breathing machines and take the drain tubes out of her lungs.

I want to thank everyone for your responses for our friend Etta that was in a severe car accident last night. She is still alive and we thank God for it all. We need to keep praying and thanking God for what He has done so far. I will keep everyone posted on this and greatly appreciate all of you.

Everyone please pray for our friend Etta. She was just in a terrible car accident and their has already been fatalities from the accident and she is on the operating table and not expected to make it.
We need to pray that the hand of God will come down and heal her. We need to plead the blood of Jesus over her body and her life. She is saved and that helps but we want her to live.
Please take time out to pray please.

Do you have road rage? Does driving bring out the worse in you? I remember early in my driving experience that I had a terrible case of road rage. I would honk the horn and throw a hand up at anything that I did not think was correct. People would aggravate me so bad when I was driving. I would yell and talk to them through the glass.
This was something I prayed about a lot. Over time I found that driving and dealing with other drivers was getting better. I now do not yell or honk the horn (unless someone runs me off the road) and I am able to keep the road rage under control. I have seen stories and photos of people having fights right on the highway and even be shot at. This is very troubling and we need to evaluate our anger.
Jesus says, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Mt. 11:28-30)

        

Looks like the Heinz entry has been popular this week and I have received many comments. I wanted to clarify why I posted this and why I have asked that we contact Heinz.
First of all I do not hate those that practice homosexuality, they are God's creation just like me. I have had friends who practiced this lifestyle. However I do hate the lifestyle because it makes a mockery of what God intended to be sacred between a man and a woman. This lifestyle is being sexually immoral and is an abomination before God.
I have been married for over eight years now and have a six year old son. I do not want my child to see these type of things on television and think that the lifestyle is ok because it is not. I have had others comment to me and ask me why am i judging them, I am not judging I am going to the word of God and making sure that what I am telling you and everyone else is the truth. If it was meant for men and men to be partners, our plumbing would be laid out different. God made woman in the image that would be appealing to a man. God loves those that practice this lifestyle as much as he loves me and everyone else. I have seen signs that other Christians have had that states "God hates homosexuals", this is so untrue. God loves them, He hates the lifestyle. We have to understand that our sins is what separates us from God not the person. God loves the person but hates the sin.
This is not to condemn but to give us hope, that if we live according to God's Word that we can inherit eternity.
I pray that those that are reading this will understand that God loves all of us and wants to have a relationship with each one of us. I want this site to be a place that we can all communicate on without being upset and can share what is in our hearts.
Leviticus 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
